Tips and how to best grow Mild Chillies in Containers or Pots
Checklist of items you will need
- Your chosen chilli seeds
- Suitable container or pot for growing your chillies in
- Multipurpose compost suitable for plants
- A warm location to house your container

Fill your container with multi-purpose compost – it depends on the size you have chosen mine are 70cm width x 30cm deep x 20xm high with the required quantity of compost you need. Scatter the chilli plant seeds over the top and lightly cover with more multipurpose compost. Next water them well and leave them to germinate somewhere warm. After a week your chilli plants will start to shoot and show signs of growth. Many people at this point will thing the chilli seedlings down and only have 3-5 seedlings in a pot of the size above.

Wow look at them grow, I must say chilli seeds are one of the most fun plants to grow. Not only are they lovely to eat with salads, put on pizzas etc… they are quite memorising to watch grow. They can be kept in the fridge or freeze them for later use.
